I love, love, love this pasta. It's so easy to make and so delicious. The easiest recipes are often the most delicous, talking about Italian food, because with not to much ingredients, you can taste every single ingredient. That's why I love this pasta so much, and because basil is one of my favourite herbs.
When I'm homealone, when I'm in a hurry, when friends are having dinner at my place, or just for my family: it's always the right occasion to make this pasta. Believe me!

  • 380 gram (0.84 pound) linguini or spaghetti
  • 400 gram (0.89 pound) cherry tomatoes
  • 2 hands of fresh basil
  • 7 tablespoons extra virgin olive-oil
  • 1 piece of garlic
  • salt and pepper

Follow the cooking directions on the packaging of pasta to cook the pasta 'al dente' in a pan with salted water. While the pasta is cooking, halve the tomatoes and put them in a big bowl. If the basil leaves are really big, tear them in smaller pieces. Peel the garlic and cut it in little pieces. Add the basil, garlic and olive-oil to the bowl. Flavour it with salt and pepper. Now crush everything a bit. Drain the pasta when it's ready and then add it to the bowl. Mix everything and your pasta is ready!
